About Assistance League
Mission Statement
Assistance League is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) philanthropic volunteer organization chartered in 1976 that develops and implements community based philanthropic projects.
Our founders had a vision in 1976 of Helping Hands and Caring Hearts.
Today their vision is being carried on by dedicated volunteers who contribute over 12,000 service hours a year helping local children in need. We hope your visit to our website gives you a deeper understanding of the needs of so many living in our community. Come, walk with us as we tell you about Assistance League.
Meetings
Assistance League meets on the second Monday
of each month at 10:00 a.m. Meetings are held
at the Chapter House. You are welcome to join
us for coffee and social at 9:30 prior to the regular meeting.
Membership
Assistance League needs your volunteer help! Getting involved in our community is a great way to give back, as well as a wonderful opportunity to interact and meet new people. Our volunteers help prepare items for the thrift shop. Your support helps Assistance League purchase new clothing for elementary school children in need in the Hemet and San Jacinto elementary schools.
Stella Robertson and Robin Navarro are two of the newest members in our chapter. Both bring years of experience to our all-volunteer organization. Marge Clarke and Rena Devereux, Membership Co-Chairs, share the responsibility of welcoming new members to Assistance League. New members are welcome all year long, and can work in the thrift shop, assist children in Operation School Bell, or serve as a school liaison. Our different member classifications offer something for everyone so if you have a few hours a week to get involved in serving our community, please give Marge and Rena a call at 951-652-8307.
Building Friendships, Working Hard, Having Fun — that's why we love Assistance League.
